  • Choosing and enrolling in a class

Click the All classes link in the left navigation, the See all classes tab or the See all classes link on most pages to see a listing of all available classes. You can also easily access classes grouped by campus by going to the At home or At work tab, then clicking on a campus that interests you.

Click a class title from any one of these locations to enroll or find out more about a class, watch a video, or view a quick lesson.

The class overview page includes the class description, the session end date if the class will be ending soon, the PDF of the class and ratings and reviews. Once you enroll in a class, you can access all of the class content, including lessons, assignments and quizzes.

You can preview the first lesson of any class, but need to enroll to access the remaining lessons, or use the message board and other great features.

To enroll, click Enroll now in the class overview. If the site prompts you to sign in, either complete the simple registration process if you are a new user, or sign in with your email address and password if you are a returning user.

  • Class sessions and lessons

A class session is the time period when a class is offered.

Most classes on the Learning center are available for an extended period of time and many do not have session end dates; however, if a class does, the end date is displayed on the class overview page. In addition, if you are enrolled in a class that is scheduled to end soon, you will receive an email reminding you of the ending date.

Lessons for a specific class are listed on the class overview page and remain accessible 24/7 until the class session is over.

There are three types of classes to suit your particular learning style and needs:
    • Instructor led: Topics taught in two to eight lessons, each taking about 20 minutes of reading or study time. All lessons are available immediately so you can go at your own pace. You can also ask questions and discuss course topics with your instructor and fellow students on the message board.
    • Quick lessons: Short topics taught in one lesson. Quick lessons do not have an instructor or message board.
    • How to videos: Flash-based tutorials that show you how to perform a particular task. You can follow along by listening to the audio and watching the demonstration. Most are approximately five minutes in length.
  • Instructors

Learning center class instructors are subject-matter experts who enjoy teaching and interacting with students. Among them are award-winning authors, technology leaders, and professionals. The class overview page provides more detail about the instructor.

During a class session, you can use the message board to get help from your instructor or converse with other students about the topics covered in the class.

  • Reminders

When you enroll in a class, you will receive an email confirmation that your enrollment was successful. You will also get an email with convenient links to your lessons, message board and other class news. We will also send you an email if the class session end date is soon.
