I am always fascinated by the folks that take these courses and the reasons they do. I am here because I love technology and I love to teach. I believe home networks will increasingly affect many aspects of our lives and I am excited by the possibilities.

Hi All
I'm Ken H. currently living in North Wales. Wish to network three home computers so I can test out webpage designs from the HP Dreamweaver course without having to pay for hosting.
Last involved with computing in the days of punched tape, machine code, and machines like the PDP8!!

Hi everybody

I have 1 PC(XP), 1 laptop(Vista) and 1 netbook(XP) at home. I want to set up a home network for this 3 computers. I did try a little bit but found it very difficult to just use the try & error method. It's better to get more base knowledge to solve all the tech problems.

Hello I am a senior citizen entering the new age computer world and now going high tech but can't always find help to connect things together I have a used lap top desk top pc and a HP four in one and want to connect them together hopeing to learn a lot.
I have a new Router and point and shoot digital cameras and am looking to learn and have fun.

Hi, I too am a senior citizen. I got into computing to keep up to my children and grand children, now I have 2 desktop computers and a laptop that I would like to connect together for transferring files etc. At the moment I'm doing it via a flash drive.
Looking forward to the class.

Hello, I have two different PC's. One is in the main room which everyone uses and the other is in my son's room. The main one has XP, his has 2000. The main reason I want to go wireless is so that he can connect to the internet and let us get on as well. He knows computers and suggested this method, so I thought I need to get some information before buying equipment.

Hi! and great to see you all on the message board.

I want to encourage you all to post questions as you progress through the class. Your questions can be about the class material or specific to your network setup or plans. I can't recommend specific brands of equipment but I can talk about features, different configurations you might choose, and provide DIY information to help you get things up and running should the lessons details prove insufficient.
