Introduce Yourself Here!

Hi!
I'm Jerri, and I'm your instructor for this course. I've written several books and articles about computer security, and I'm pretty knowledgeable on the topic. I also write books (I've written 19 of them) and articles (about 1,000 articles) about other technology topics.
I live in Mobile, AL, and when I'm not writing, I like to spend my time on the beach, traveling,and cooking.
I'd love to learn more about you, so please share a few details with us.

Hi!
Hey Jerri,
I'm virgil,I live in Batesville,Indiana.I was transplanted here from
Manchester,Kentucky at the age of six.I retired from
Hill-Rom Industries here in Batesville in March.I have
pleanty of time on my hands,so today I finished the
lessons on spam,spyware,and viruses. I knew some things going in ,but also learned more from your
teaching lessons here on HP.

Hi from Tony. I'm auditing the course as a refresher, in preparation for getting my 16 yo teen involved in computer software maintenance.
I believe all adult computer users should be familiar to the contents of this course. Since there isn't time in high school for training kids, this computer based course is a great alternative.

Hi,
I'm Sandy. I took the class on scanning pictures enjoyed the class very much.
My laptop & desktop anti virus is about to expire. I need to learn more about the subject. I am not happy with trend I have now because every hour I get a pop up that says unknown computers have connected to your network. I would like to know some of the better anti virus & spyware that are out there before I buy.

Willie Computerman just reviewing the material just finish a rollout for Target stores POS System in Alabama now located in Orlando, Fl my whole family tech they are going through updates of classes with me wife and 4kids thanks for being there .. I think its great you can write a book and publish it I hope to do the same one day... Anyway have a nice day!

Hi im Richard ,im Structural Engineer working at KEO International Consultant in Qatar,im 34yrs old,honest person never cheat and im interested in studying more on computer and IT technologies ,so i started to take this course as a stepping stone for my next learning lesson ,I already take up 1st lesson and passed the exam.
I would like to share my experience in Computer Worms,Virus and Spyware im very much concrened regarding Virus ,i have sony vaios loptop and i always protecting my computer in virus specially that im using it with online transaction, i make sure that my computer is fully protected before im using MC Afee but now im using Zone Alarm ,and comodo internet security i know that zone alarm is the best and no.1 in term of firewall and also i try comodo internet security because it is freeware but i trust with the program in terms of firewall also .Before last 2years i have my old loptop and im using it to download program using emule so i download many programs ,software and movies including serial but one time i download a zip file with no description and suddenly open it with winrar and my computer in just 10seconds suddenly stopping from responding and when i restart i noticed that all my antivirus including windows defender is shut down ,so i recommend it to all users that when you download a file in zip file and no description with it do not open this file it is a worm which destroy your entire computer system including your anti virus.
Miss Jerri in this situation this kind of worms is very dangerous because it suddenly attack my antivirus and defences before shutting my computer ,so i suddenly stop the internet and format the computer , i hope that this message will help others in worms ,viruse and spyware

My name is Tracey and I'm from upstate NY. I have decided to update my computer knowledge after being away for a few years to raise children. Since the kids are still home with me, these online classes are great way to brush up.

Hi I'm Taban in the Sudan( South Sudan).
I've taken computer course in application and networking. I joined the HP online course through a friend who E-mail me about HP.I therefore, reached for the web side for the offer.All I got is exellent lessions.Anyway I've finished with worms ,virus,......lessions and still progressing with other lession.I hope soon things will change to better or best after completing all the HP online couses.

Hi Jerri, Im Patty, I live in Forida, and I am new to PC and my laptop. I am currently experiencing major problems with an unsafe website ( icanseek.com) which is absolutely unbearable, and I hope to learn how to be rid of it and other like it, which pop up uncessantly on my computer. I am at my wits end, and hope I can learn from you. Thankyou, Patty
