Lesson #1 - Discussion

Posted: Jun. 19

Hi everyone!

Now that you have read Lesson #1, what do you think? Have you had prior experience with Excel or is this all new to you? What do you prior Excel users think of the new features, such as the Ribbon, etc...?

Hello Gaye

I am having fun at 3:53 in the morning.

Yes! It's my first time.

Comparing 2003 and 2007 version I think I prefer 2007 version because of the ribbon and the groups of tabs.

Right now I'm a little slow at navigating my self around but I'll catch up with everyone in time.

Hello Gaye,

I have used Excel before, but in this lesson I learnt few new things.

I think the appearance, access to ribbon and customizing is much better in 2007 than in 2003.

Great! Sounds like you are all learning a few things AND finding out that you might actually like the change in Excel! I agree, I think the changes are for the better. It's very user-friendly and easy to move around in. The more you use it, the more you really like the new look and feel. Change can be good :)

Thanks for posting! Gaye

This is my first experience with Excel. I'm a little slow on the input, but the lesson is excellent.

After reading lesson 1. Excel is not as hard as I thought. Can't wait to learn the formulas.

The ribbon is a nice feature in 2007. It cuts down on time looking for features.

Hi GAYE , Hi everyone ...

I found Excel 2007 easier than 2003 thanks to the ribbon .

I think the most interesting part in Excel is the functions so I want to master it .

I'll do my best .
