Lesson #4 - Discussion

Posted: Jun. 19

Hi everyone!

Now that you have read Lesson #4, what do you think? Did you try applying different borders to your spreadsheet and then print them out? And shading? There is so much you can do to change the look and feel of your basic spreadsheet! How did you do with the assignment? If you need any help or have any questions, please post a message.

Placeholder: Something used or included temporarily or as a substitute for something that is not known or must remain generic; that which holds, denotes or reserves a place for something to come later

That's awesome, tiny123! I'm so glad you are really getting a lot form this course. Now you get to start using it! Enjoy!

What an excellent course.

I remember getting excited when I discovered colour tabs in a workbook in 2003, after upgrading from 2000; so, you can imagine how impressed I was when I started on the formating section and discovered theme colouring with 2007. If this works as well as i think it will in pivot tables and charts I may even deserve a raise.

This course was not only designed for the beginner, but helps the advanced user get used to a new program as well.

Keep up the good work!

LOL! I hope you get that raise!

You're right - this new version is pretty amazing! I don't think we will ever really know all that it can do. And it is a great course for anyone - even experienced users learn basics they probably never really knew along with getting familiar with the new version.

So glad you enjoyed the course and can make good use of your new knowledge! There are many more courses available, so check them out.

Good luck to you! Gaye

This course was just right for someone like myself who has used Excel for years, but did not use too much of its functionality. Thanks.

That's awesome! Glad to hear it! I think you are like the majority in your use of Excel. I think we can all learn from these courses, no matter how much experience you have. There is so much Excel can do!

Thanks for posting! Gaye
