Introduce Yourself Here!

Posted: Jun. 19

Hi! My name is Gaye and I am the instructor for this class. I live in Texas and have been here most of my life. I have some furry kids, but none of the human kind! I love teaching these online classes and meeting tons of new folks, each time. I learn new things right along with you!

If you would like, please share a bit about yourself and why this course interests you. We'd love to know!

Hello Tim here.Happy to see you again Gaye. I'm taking this course because I own MSW, I took the 1st course, and I like MSW I think it is a very nice piece of softwear.I like these "your own speed corses".But I hate* it when you do a course and it tells you to do something you can't do without help to move on through.

Hello

I am taking the intermediate level course to become more familiar with 2007. I am very comfortable with Office 2003. I use Office 2003 at work but I use Mac Office 2008 in my home.

Hello - I am taking this course because I have it at home and want to know about working with Office 2007. Also, we just had it upgraded from Office 2003 at my work and this course will help me with my position responsibilites! I look forward to learning more about Office 2007.

I can see the comparison between Mac Office 2008 and Office 2007. However, trying to follow the PDF instructions for one platform and then translating it to another is really slowing me down. Is there a Mac version training available?

Hello,

I am comfortable with many of the basic features of Word. I have toyed with the idea of using "themes" but have not had the time or inclination to learn how. Hopefully this class will bring that feature and others into my toolbox. BTW Gaye, I just moved to West Texas earlier this year. Boy does it get hot!

Gaye and Class,

I am taking the class for personal enrichment as I am no longer employed but still do a lot of things on the computer that are more efficiently accomplished with MS Office or a similar program. I just completed MS Word 2007 Introduction which I didn't think I needed...my mistake. Now, I'm ready for some new surprises from this wonderful program!!!

Hi. I am taking this class as a refresher course. I bought Microsoft Word program for my home computer to increase my knowledge of the application. I am in the process of finishing the Microsoft Word Step by Step manual at this time. The classes I have taken have been very helpful in reviewing what I have already learned. In some instances, the class is more detailed than the manual and that is very helpful, too. I can wait to learn more in the next class.

I AM WW2 PILGRIM BECAUSE WE WERE BROUGHT ON ARMY TROOP CARRIER SHIP TO ELIS ISLAND, I AM 77 YEARS OLD, BRAIN STROKE SURVIVOR AND I AM WRITING A BOOK, MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY I WANT TO LIVE SOMETHING FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTERS WHERE I CAME FROM HISTORY OF MY LIFE. AND I AM WRITING THE BOOK AND THIS NOTE WITH ONE FINGER; I HAVE PRETTY MUCH COMPLETED THE BOOK I WROTE EACH CHARTER AS A FILE. I NOTICED A PROBLEM IN PRINTING. HOW DO YOU START AND STOP A PAGE, I AM USED TO USING POWER POINT,
WHEN I END A SUBJECT IN THE MIDDLE OF A PAGE AND START NEXT SUBJECT ON NEXT PAGE, EVERYTHING IS FINE SO FAR, I SAVE IT, BUT WHEN I PRINT IT, THE TEXT IS PULLED ONTO THE OPEN SPACE FROM NEXT PAGE.
HOPE TO LEARN ALL IN THIS CLASS.
HAVE A NICE DAY.
JERRY
