Lesson #2 - Discussion

Posted: Jun. 19

Hi everyone!

Now that you have read Lesson #2, what do you think? Do you have any questions? I know that I use these features a lot, when creating my personal and business documents. Word makes it very easy. Did you play around with the grouping and arranging functions? Did you try the assignment and how did that go? If you need any help or have any questions, please post a message.

I have finished Lesson #2 and It was quite easy. I have to work on my reading comprehension in regard to the quiz questions. I miss one on each of the first two quizzes due to not quite getting the question, so I am working on a perfect score'

Many thanks.

Hi Jin,

The links to the assignments are on the main page to the course. The link is just below the link for the lesson.

Hope this helps, Gaye

In lesson 2, page 3, when I superimpose the triangle on the oval, the oval is always on top. If I
superimpose the oval on the triangle, the oval is still on top.

Hi there!

Whichever shape you add last will cover the other. Try adding the oval first and then the triangle and see which stays on top.

You can also use the steps just under Fig. 2-6. It has you use "send to back" or "bring to front". That should solve your problem for sure!

Hope this helps! Gaye

I find working with pictures in Word very frustrating. If I add text in front or another picture somewhere in the document, it moves my original picture to someplace unexpected. I would have hoped that it would move the picture and the text it was anchored to, to the top of the next page if it needed more room. However, sometimes I find it three pages later. This lesson, I thought would show how to group a picture and text. Does the text have to be in a text box or can it be a regular paragraph?
