Lesson 3

Posted: Oct. 1

After posting my page, i viewed it and would like to change some things but don't know how. The title I would like to center between the logo and right side of the page. Also the second line shifted over to the left. And I would like to change the background color of the logo to something else. How do I do this?

Return to the copy of the page on your computer and make the changes there.

Without seeing your HTML, it's hard for me to guess how you've set up your title, so I can't respond to the next question.

Do you want the second line indented? By how much? You can try using the non-breaking space if you want it smooshed in just a little bit, or you can use the blockquote tags to condense it on both sides.

To change the background color on the logo, you'll need to modify the logo image file, which means using a graphic editing program.

Let me know if this gets you going ... and ask more questions if you need to.

Thanks!

Good Afternoon Instructor Virginia O'Connor

I downloaded the Nvu Web Software. I was having a problem trying to position my image. I was trying to put them side by side and found it to be a little difficult but after a couple of tries I was able to position them. The page came out OK for a first time starter. I also used the Microsoft Publisher but found it to be a little simplier to use and most of the templates are just the basics nothing fancy. With a little more practice I think I will do very well with the websites once I learn most of the techniques. Thank you for all your assistance.

Regards, Paterson

Side by side images require a little more to get them placed well, but you'll find a single-row table will work very well as a trick.

Good luck!
