Check Disc vs Disc Cleanup

I've read the other posts but did not find an answer for my question. I also found disk cleanup rather than Check Disc. I followed your instructions to go to My Computer, etc. When I went to Properties, there is still no Tools Tab to find the Check Disc. Not sure how to check the disc.

Make sure you are in the properties of your disk, not your computer or something else. There should be a tab for tools. Here's more info from Microsoft:
