Who are the instructors?Learning center instructors are subject-matter experts who really enjoy teaching and interacting with students. Among them are award-winning authors, technology leaders and professionals. Instructors are only available on classes. They are not available on quick lessons or how-to videos. How do I ask the instructor a question?Your instructor will be happy to answer your questions regarding topics covered in your lessons. Please post your question to your class message board so that your instructor can respond. You must be a registered user with the Learning center and enrolled in a class to use the class message board. To access the message board and post a question, follow these steps:
If you didn't click cancel, your message will post to the class message board for your instructor and fellow students to review. Other students review the message board often and instructors check the message board every business day, so you should receive a response shortly after posting your question. What are the different parts of a class?Each Learning center class uses a combination of the following components to help you learn about a topic:
You can access all of these components of a class once you enroll in it. How do I learn more about a specific class?The class overview page includes key information about a specific class, including the class description, introduction to the instructor, class reviews and more. Once you enroll in a class, you can access all of the class content, including lessons, assignments and quizzes. What is in the lessons?All class lessons consist of multiple pages that cover different aspects of the class topic. Click Next and Previous at the bottom of each lesson page to navigate through the lesson. Text on the right side of the page includes notes, tips or merchandise related to the class that your instructor finds useful or interesting. You can also click View all pages on the top-right of the lesson page to see all of the lesson pages. Some lessons include assignments and quizzes, which are designed to enhance your learning experience. Use the assignments to apply what you've learned and as a springboard for thoughts and questions you can post to the class message board. Quizzes help you check your understanding of the material that you just covered in the lesson. We interactively score your quiz so you can discover in real time which concepts you understood and which concepts you might want to review or ask questions about on the message board. How do I obtain a PDF of the class I am taking?You can download a PDF of any class that you are enrolled in by simply clicking on the Download now icon or the Download the PDF text link on the class overview page. How do I keep track of all my classes? How do I see my completed classes?Click My classes in the left-hand navigation to access a complete record of your class activities at the Learning center, including:
Click the class title to access all of the lessons in your current classes. Once a class has ended, you will not be able to go back to complete lessons, assignments or quizzes. Click the class transcript link for any past or complete class to review a list of lessons and assignments you completed, as well as the scores for any quizzes you took. Quizzes and assignments that you do not complete will not be included in your transcript. How do I obtain a certificate of completion?To obtain a certificate of completion, you must view all lesson pages and complete all quizzes and assignments. Once you are finished with the last lesson of the class, go back to the class overview, click the View your class transcript link, and then click Download your certificate of completion. After the class end date you can still download certificates for completed classes by going to My classes on the left navigation bar of the home page, clicking class transcript and then clicking Download your certificate of completion.
