In addition, our content is divided into two main campuses: At home (includes topics such as digital photography, home office and more) and At work (includes topics such as IT professionals, government and education, graphic arts and more). Where is the Online classes site?As of June 18, 2009, Online classes merged with the Learning center to provide you with more benefits, including a broader offering of classes that are always on. If you were previously registered on the Online classes site, you can use the same email and password to log in to the new site: the Learning center. What happened to the list of classes I took on Online classes?If you took classes from Online classes prior to the merge with the Learning center on June 18, 2009 that information is no longer available. Why did my message board alias change?When Online classes merged with the Learning center on June 18, 2009, many message board aliases were duplicated between the two sites. We may have amended your previous message board alias to make it unique among all students. Go to your profile to change this or any other updates you wish. Click View/edit profile in the left-hand navigation, click the Profile tab and then click Edit my profile. How much do Learning center classes cost?Learning center classes are free of charge and accessible online from any computer with an internet connection. How do classes work?Learning center classes are offered online and are accessible from any computer with an internet connection. Classes include two to six lessons and may also include interactive demos, quizzes and assignments. You can review all the lessons at your own pace and at any time of day. During an active class session, you may also interact with your fellow students and instructor via the class message board. The majority of the classes do not have session end dates; however, if a class does, the end date is displayed on the class overview page and you will receive a class ending email before the class is scheduled to end. Where can I find a complete listing of the available classes?Click the All classes link in the left navigation, the See all classes tab or the See all classes link on most pages to see a listing of all classes. To learn more about a class, click the class title you are interested in to get an overview of the class that includes a class description, introduction to the instructor, class reviews and more. You can also easily access classes by certain campuses by clicking the At home or At work tabs, clicking a topic campus that interests you and clicking the class title. How can I be notified of the new classes available on the Learning center?You can subscribe to the Learning center news monthly email newsletter that will notify you of featured Learning center classes each month. Where do the classes take place?Classes take place online and are accessible from any computer with internet access. Once you are enrolled in a class, you are free to complete the lessons when it is convenient for you. For classes currently not available, how can I get notified the next time the class is up for enrollment?Classes currently not available are listed on this page http://h30187.www3.hp.com/not_enrollable.jsp. Click any class that interests you to sign up to be notified the next time the class is available. Your notification will be sent by email. What is the advantage of taking an online class instead of a regular class or even buying a book to learn more?Like a traditional class, an online class offers a collection of lessons, assignments and quizzes to help you learn, as well as an instructor to guide your learning, but it is up to you to determine the time and place you attend class. You can take an online class when it is convenient for you, rather than organizing your schedule around a class time. You also get personalized feedback from the instructor and the opportunity to chat with other students to gain more insight and information about the subjects that interest you. What is RSS and how can I use it?The Learning center team has initiated RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds as an easy way for our users to get information on new classes, quick lessons and how-to videos automatically sent to them. For more information about RSS and to subscribe to the feed, simply click the RSS feed link at the bottom of a page, and follow the instructions to start getting updates sent to you. What are the ratings (stars) and how do they work?The ratings (or stars) you see provide a way for us to gauge the success of a class or instructor as assessed by those who have taken that class or interacted with an instructor. Ratings provide those who have taken a class with a way of giving us quick feedback about their experiences as well as provide potential enrollees with feedback about the quality of a class and/or instructor as assessed by other students. To rate a class, you need to be logged in. Just click the star you think best describes your experience (1 is poor; 5 is excellent) with that class or instructor and your rating will be averaged with others received. To view classes and instructors you have rated, click View/edit profile in the left navigation and then click the Ratings tab. What are reviews and how do they work?Reviews are student comments on classes, quick lessons or how-to videos that they have participated in. Reviews can help you choose which classes to take based on other students' opinions. To read a review, follow these steps:
